How much does it cost?
Because each group travelling requires different itineraries and with different distances involved SixNationTours tailors each trip to your club’s requirements. We do however offer the best value packages for each event and try to include as much of the daily costs as possible, meals, accommodation etc. so that the only extras you spend are your choice.
How do we travel?
For UK & Ireland SixNationTours generally uses Luxury coach and ferry transport. For travel to continental destinations we use the most economical flights available and when there we have trusted Luxury coach transportation.
Which Route should we take?
Over the years SixNationTours have found that the most direct route may not offer the best use of your time on tour and may cost too much. SixNationTours will generally suggest the best route and method of travel based primarally on cost and, secondary, on the optimal use of your complete tour itinerary.
What does the Transportation include?
SixNationTours endeavours to include transportation from club of origin and return to same. Sometimes clubs prefer to use their own bus operator and we can price an event with or without transport. Some clubs are located near airports and do not require assembly at the club but prefer to meet at the airport. SixnationTours will accommodate whichever you prefer.
What type of accommodation do you use?
SixNationTours endeavours to get hotels of a 3*** standard, with twin or triple rooms, as the minimum for each of its events. Where the venue does not have this type of accommodation we secure the best option available.
How much luggage can we bring?
For coach transportation there is no definitive luggage requirement however you will only be travelling for the weekend with 2 days of Rugby so pack appropriately. For events that include flights you are requested to restrict yourself to carry on luggage according to the flight operators rules, generally this is one carry on bag with a maximum weight of 10kg. and should not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Each child should include Gum Shield, Boots, Socks, Togs and at least 2 playing jerseys/t-shirts of similar to squad requirements.
What does the insurance cover?
SixNationTours Travel Insurance is the basic cover for the trip (Full copy available to club on application). Should you require medical insurance or sporting insurance as an extra you should consider taking this out separately. Once you have permission from your club and home Rugby Union for the trip then your normal Club insurance will cover playing as will the insurance of the club you have permission to visit. Most EU citizens travelling within the EU are covered by their own National Insurance for medical emergencies so apply to your local health authority to obtain the card that covers this.
Which Rugby rules apply?
Generally the Host clubs Rugby Union rules apply, please check variations on arrival at the club ie. pushing in the scrum, conversions, lineouts, 5 second rules etc.
